Paul Badgley

Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Carolina University in May 1985 with a BSBA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. After working as a corporate accountant for a construction firm in Greensboro for two years, he started his career in public accounting in 1987 with a large national CPA firm in their Burnsville office. He worked with that firm for almost 20 years when he decided he wanted to spend more time in Burnsville and wanted his family to stay in the community. In 2007, Paul purchased the practice to remain close to the community his family had grown to love.
Since 2007 Paul has grown a successful, client-focused firm with clients in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. The firm serves many individual clients but also a variety of small businesses and farms. With improved roads, Asheville is just a short drive from the office, and Paul or his staff regularly travel there and to other places to meet clients and facilitate meetings.

Ben graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Economics and a BA in History. After working in management for a building supply in New Bern, NC for two years, he moved back to Western North Carolina to be closer to family and back in the mountains, and he soon began working with his father, Paul, in public accounting. For 5 years Ben has worked for Paul in all aspects of the firm from bookkeeping to income tax. During Ben's time at the firm, he has become a fully licensed CPA. Ben enjoys working in the family business and believes strong client relationships thrive in the small-firm setting.
